Eternal Exploration: The 1980s were a time of great curiosity about space and the universe, mirroring humanity's desire to explore the unknown. This album can symbolize a quest for knowledge, pushing boundaries beyond the physical realm, inviting listeners to contemplate their place in the vastness of the cosmos.
Sound as a Gateway: Each track can serve as a portal to different celestial experiences—sonic representations of distant planets, stars exploding, or the serene beauty of a nebula. The progression of the album can mirror the journey through a galaxy, with each song revealing new dimensions, much like the never-ending exploration of space.
Emotional Starscapes: Just as the night sky is filled with countless stars, this music can evoke a range of emotions, from joy to melancholy. By weaving complex melodies and harmonies, the album allows listeners to connect with their inner selves and navigate their emotional landscapes as they look up at the stars.
Unity in Diversity: The concept of a galaxy encompasses a vast array of celestial bodies. In this light, my album can celebrate diversity in human experience and creativity, showing how different sounds and influences can coexist and create a richer tapestry. This could resonate with themes of unity, peace, and the interconnectedness of all life.
Nostalgia for the Future: The music created in 1980 can intertwine retro elements with forward-thinking ideas, reflecting a nostalgic look back at the past while simultaneously embracing future possibilities. This duality can inspire listeners to reflect on their journeys while remaining open to the infinite opportunities that lie ahead.
The Cosmic Cycle: Much like the cyclical nature of galaxies, the album could explore themes of rebirth, transformation, and the cyclical patterns in life. This could encourage listeners to meditate on their personal growth and the broader cycles of existence, touching upon philosophical ideas of time and space.
A Call to Imagination: Finally, the "Galaxy" album can serve as an invitation to dream. Through its progressive rock elements, you can encourage listeners to unleash their creativity, reminding them of the power of music and imagination to transcend the ordinary and journey into the extraordinary.

Early days recordings and ideas in my room at my parents house in the 70s and the 80s.
In the 70s I used two Cassette Tape Recorders adding one instrument at a time. (For extracting rhythm I also used two Cassette Tape Recorders recording a longer drum track. Using this technique has given the rhythms some instability. This instability can either be seen as irritation or a peculiarity to put a more personal touch around the way this was done.)
In the 80s I used the Scully 8-track 1" Tape Recorder and the Sound Techniques System 12 mixer. Mastered on a "Technics" cassette tape recorder.
"At this time, much of the music I made was built around a rhythm that I took from cassettes and LPs. Always looking for drums at the beginning of a song without other instruments."
